Things to Do
Activities at Black Butte Ranch
There's plenty to do at Black Butte Ranch! While Max might be lounging by the pool with a cold drink, Bradley might be found chatting with the horses or indulging in a spa day (we all know he loves a good spa!). There are also great options for the more adventurous, like horseback riding, paddleboarding, and fishing. Whatever you're into, there's something for everyone here.
Golfing at Black Butte Ranch
Heads up (literally), because we're both new to golfing! Black Butte Ranch has two beautiful courses—Big Meadow and Glaze Meadow. The views are stunning, and the courses are perfect for all skill levels. Just watch out for flying golf balls—Max and Bradley are still getting the hang of it, so duck if you see us on the green!
Exploring Downtown Sisters
Downtown Sisters is the perfect spot for a laid-back afternoon. It's got a cozy Old West vibe, with quaint streets lined with unique boutiques and art galleries. You can grab a bite at a local eatery or enjoy a coffee at Sisters Coffee Company. It's a great place to soak up the local charm and maybe find a quirky souvenir. Just don't be surprised if you run into us grabbing ice cream and a burger at Snow Cap (we're hungry boys!).
Hiking in the Area
Central Oregon is a hiker's paradise, but don't count on Max being too enthusiastic—he'd rather be by the pool! Bradley, on the other hand, loves a good hike. The Cascade Mountains offer breathtaking views, lush forests, and serene lakes. Check out the McKenzie River Trail or Smith Rock State Park for some of the best hikes around. It's a great way to connect with nature and take in the beautiful scenery—if you're into that sort of thing!
Discovering Bend
Bend is just a quick drive away and a haven for anyone who loves the outdoors and good beer. Whether you're into hiking (which Max may or may not be reluctantly dragged into), floating down the river, or just exploring cool shops and restaurants, Bend has it all. The Old Mill District is a great spot for shopping and dining, with beautiful river views. And for the beer lovers, the Bend Ale Trail is a fun way to sample some local brews—Max's favorite kind of trail!
